The birth of the novel COVID-19 virus also known as Coronavirus has left people quarantined in their homes, isolated from loved ones and jobless. In this dark time, there’s been a wave of light in humanity as we all grasp to stay united and together, even when we’re physically apart. Helping this light reach millions is Miley Cyrus who has started a daily Instagram live show “Bright Minded.”
Cyrus launched the show on Monday March 16th with a live interview with her therapist Dr. Amen. Each episode which you can watch on her Instagram from 11:30am – 12:30pm PT has featured guests to offer advice on what they do to “stay LIT in dark times.” Dr. Amen offered professional guidance, while other guests like Demi Lovato and Hailey Baldwin Bieber offered advice based on personal experiences.
While the pandemic inspired Cyrus to start the show, it’s not where the focus lies. In each episode, the singer goes through a set of questions that cover a variety of sub-subjects all meant to help viewers live a healthier, happier life.
Cyrus uses the term “bright minded” is an acronym that sets up each question:

R – Reliable source
I – Immune booster
G – Get Active
H – Healthy anxiety
T – Thoughts and attention
M – Memories
I – Inflammation
N – Negative Thoughts
D – Dedicating 15 minutes to something new
S – Sleep
On Tuesday, Cyrus is introducing “Motivational Mornings” as a part of her production schedule and will have an impressive guest roster this week. The line-up includes Ellen DeGeneres, her dad Billy Ray Cyrus, Emily Osment, Reese Witherspoon, Hilary Duff and a self- confidence segment with her sister Noah Cyrus.
