TikTok user and fitness coach @justin_agustin recently went viral for a video he posted where he demonstrated a technique that helps people fall asleep in two minutes. Sounds amazing right? We agree! This is likely why the original video has almost 8 million views.
In the video Justin explains the original technique was developed for those in the military because they often have to sleep in difficult environments. In order to do this technique Justin says first you have to calm yourself and shut down every part of your body from head to toe.
While you are relaxing all of your muscles and focusing on breathing, Justin says to also clear your mind of any stressors and imagine yourself in two scenes, either laying in a canoe or lying in a hammock in a dark room.
He says whenever your mind gets distracted repeat the words “don’t think” for ten seconds. He recommends practicing this technique for 6 weeks and 96% of those who master this technique can fall asleep within 2 minutes of closing their eyes.
